

About me
Laura is a proud Colombian/Puerto Rican singer, actress, and teaching artist based in Chicago, IL.
A Chicago native, Laura began her artistic career very early in her life. Taking ballet classes to introduce her to the world of performance to then joining the Chicago Children’s Choir’s Allegro group. Laura began her focused training when she was accepted as a Musical Theatre major at ChiArts: The Chicago High School for the Arts. After working with amazing professionals during high school, she continued on to college and got a BA in Musical Theatre Performance from North Central College.
With the rest of her time she is the Vice President of the Downstage Arts Board, a non profit dedicated to providing youth arts education for all. She is also head of Recruitment for The Downstage Arts Trade School. Laura teaches devised theater and stage makeup classes to students (K-6th) all around the Chicagoland area.
Aside from her artistic endeavors, she is the proud Assistant Studio Manager of Orangetheory Fitness Roscoe Village.

Laura's favorite food is mashed potatoes, her favorite color is blue, cobalt blue to be exact, and she can be found searching Chicago for the best burger or home cuddling watching Survivor with her boyfriend.
